CABE Board of Directors Election
Call for Candidates
The annual election for the CABE (California Association for Bilingual Education) Board of Directors is officially underway! If you are deeply committed to advancing bilingual education and advocating for the success of English learners, we encourage you to consider running for a position.
CABE is looking for passionate, forward-thinking leaders who align with our vision and mission. As a board member, you will have the opportunity to play a key role in shaping the direction of the organization, influencing policy, and supporting programs that impact English learners, their families, and educators across the state and beyond.
To be eligible as a candidate in this year’s election, you must be an active CABE member by May 8, 2024.
Open Positions
These are the six positions now open:
- Director of Financial Affairs
- Director of Community Affairs
- Director of Secondary and IHE Affairs
Region 1 Representative (All CA counties north of and including San Joaquin, Tuolumme, Mono, Santa Clara, and Calaveras)
- Region 3 Representative (Orange County and the area and cities in Los Angeles County south of Thousand Oaks, Northridge, and Santa Clarita)
- Region 5 Representative (Ventura, Santa Barbara and those cities in Los Angeles north of and including the cities of Northridge and Santa Clarita)

Eligible members will receive email ballots, and members without an email on file will receive a paper ballot by U.S. mail.
