Cultural Connections is a global initiative designed to foster cross-cultural understanding and strengthen professional ties among educators worldwide. The program offers educators the opportunity to exchange best practices, engage in dialogue, and explore diverse pedagogical approaches that enhance teaching across cultures. In addition to the virtual sessions, a select group of educators will participate in a funded, in-person exchange. Educators from California will visit Hong Kong and Macau, while educators from Hong Kong and Macau will travel to California. All exchange participants will also have the opportunity to attend the milestone 50th Anniversary CABE Conference.
CABE is a non-profit organization dedicated to promoting biliteracy, multicultural competency, and educational equity for all students. For nearly five decades, CABE has championed bilingual education across California, providing professional learning, resources, and advocacy to support multilingual learners. CABE’s impact extends broadly, reaching state, national, and international partners. Each year, its programs benefit a diverse array of educators, administrators, parents, and community members. CABE’s flagship event, the CABE Annual Conference, is the largest bilingual education conference globally, drawing over 7,000 attendees. Through its extensive network, innovative programs, and commitment to educational equity, CABE continues to lead the way in fostering inclusive, effective bilingual education practices that serve diverse communities across California and beyond.
