ASSISTANT, ASSOCIATE OR FULL PROFESSOR IN EMERGENT BILINGUAL / DUAL LANGUAGE LEARNER EDUCATION, A TENURED OR TENURE-TRACK POSITION

The Department of Education and Leadership at California State University, Monterey Bay invites applications for Assistant, Associate or Full Professor in Emergent Bilingual / Dual Language Learner Education, a tenured or tenure-track position.  Candidate will oversee the Monterey Institute for English Learners (MIEL):  Equity in Research & Practice, secure funding to support the work of MIEL, conduct research and publish in peer-reviewed journals, teach evidence based practices in educating english language learners, and provide instruction in teacher preparation and in the Master of Arts in Education Program.  Candidate must be bilingual, have U.S. K-12 teaching experience, and the ability to teach literacy or content area methods courses in Spanish to bilingual teacher candidates in bilingual education and dual immersion settings. :
