Congratulations on reaching the finals of the CABE 2025 Mariachi High School and Middle School Festival/Competition. We are thrilled to host you and look forward to your performance. Please read the following instructions carefully to ensure a smooth experience on the day of the event, Saturday, March 29, 2025. Please note that the information on this page will be updated weekly.

Use the links on the right to be best prepared for the event. Make sure you get forms to natalia@gocabe.org by Monday, March 17, 2025. Make sure to include the name of your mariachi group in the subject line.

Arriving at the Hyatt Regency Long Beach at 9am

We recommend arriving Saturday, March 29th, at 9:00 AM to allow enough time for the subsequent steps and to ensure you are not rushed. The hotel address is 200 S Pine Ave, Long Beach, CA 90802. Buses should drop students off at the Hyatt Regency curbside and proceed to parking.

Checking In at the Hyatt

Walk in toward registration, make a right, and take the escalators down to the lower level. Directors, please report to the check-in area to pick up your welcome packet. Upon check-in, you will be assigned an escort.

Greenroom Information

Student performers will have a designated greenroom where they can change into their outfits. There will be 6 greenrooms; one for each finalist group.

Mariachi Los Alanos de Garfield High School:  Pacific Lower Level
Mariachi Sol Juvenil:  Seaview A Lower Level
Mariachi Del Valle:  Seaview B Lower Level

Mariachi Los Astros from Carr Intermediate:  Shoreline A Lower Level

Sound Check Information

The sound check will take place at the Long Beach Convention Center (LBCC). It is a short walking distance (5-10min) from the Hyatt Regency. At about 9am, make your way to the LBCC for your onstage rehearsal. Walking directions below:

1. 1. 1. Take the escalator/stairs up from the Lobby of the Hyatt to the third level.
      2. Make a right turn and continue walking until you see the exit doors, which will lead to the doors of the LBCC.
      3. As you enter the LBCC with your escort, you will be led down the escalator to Exhibit Hall B.

Lunch

Complimentary lunch will be provided for a maximum of 16 students and 2 directors per group only. Parents and other guests may purchase their lunch from the same vendors at their own expense.

Backstage at LBCC Exhibit Hall B

Once you reach Exhibit Hall B, you will be directed to the backstage area. Please remain in the backstage area until directors are notified when to go onstage.
