TNTP partners with more than 6,000 school systems across 39 states, and we bring our national perspective and expertise to the local level to co-create sustainable solutions with deep community roots. No two projects are the same.
Our regional consulting model allows us to build lasting partnerships with system leaders, educators, and communities. Most of our staff live in the communities and regions they serve. In every region, our goal is the same: to partner with school systems and communities to ensure that all students can reach their full potential and live lives of agency and choice.
CABE’s signature family engagement program, P2I is a comprehensive parent and family engagement program crafted to nurture robust leadership skills among participants. Devoted to empowering parents with essential awareness and knowledge, the program actively supports children’s education while fostering collaborative partnerships.
P2I’s impact extends beyond participants by providing professional learning opportunities for school administrators and family engagement professionals. The training encompasses evidence-based practices covering crucial topics such as the US public school system, academic programs, and early childhood education, employing Community Learning Theory strategies. Sessions delve into parent involvement research, facilitation and presentation techniques, and an in-depth exploration of the P2I curriculum modules.
This multifaceted approach positions P2I as a cornerstone for building a resilient educational community that prizes active involvement and collaboration among families, parents, communities, and school personnel.
Plazas Comunitarias is a program that offers the opportunity to Hispanic young people and adults to finish and/or begin their primary and/or secondary education in Spanish; where upon completing their studies they obtain their school certificate from the Secretary of Public Education of Mexico.
Plazas Comunitarias collaborates with the National Institute for Adult Education (INEA), the National Council of Education for Life and Work (CONEVyT), the Institute of Mexicans Abroad (IME), and the network of Consulates in the United States. Through Plazas Comunitarias you can find other academic offering options such as: High School Diplomas, online University Degrees, professional degrees and master’s degrees, doctorates, other courses, and information for revalidation of professional titles.
The Libroterapia book club unfolds across a series of thoughtfully crafted sessions and levels, immersing participants in the foundational principles of bilingual learning within the classroom.
At its core, this workshop seeks to instill in attendees a deep appreciation for the significance of reading as a dynamic tool for learning, personal growth, and sheer enjoyment. Participants are equipped with valuable reading tools and techniques, encouraging the development of skills that extend seamlessly to their homes through creative methods, ultimately bolstering the academic performance of their children.
The ultimate objective is to empower each participant to become an author, enabling them to craft, publish, and share a book within their classroom community. The sessions unfold in a carefully balanced blend of theoretical and practical components, exploring various literary genres and specific themes. This approach ensures that participants not only grasp theoretical concepts but also gain tangible tools that actively promote a culture of reading and writing within their homes.
Participants will enhance their understanding of immigration rights and resources through SIRS, a comprehensive 3-module program meticulously tailored for parents and families, immigrant communities, and the educators who serve them. Stay current with essential information on immigration rights, gaining insights relevant to safe school environments.
This empowering program equips families and educators alike with vital knowledge and strategies, fostering the creation and nurturing of safe, welcoming environments and communities. Equip yourself with the tools needed to advocate for inclusivity and support the well-being of all students and individuals within educational settings regardless of their origin or immigration status. The modules zero in on raising awareness of the current political climate, introduce legislation that protecting immigrants and refugees, addressing the unique needs of undocumented youth and advocating for the establishment of safe spaces in schools and communities for students and their families.
Families participating in these sessions will gain access to a compilation of legal and educational resources and services, along with invaluable health care information.
